Australian Educator Recognizes an STW School in Report
David Payton wants to share a new report with you. Margaret Mulcahy, an Australian educator who studied middle grades education worldwide, has just released her report: Engagement in the Middle Years: A Path for Successful Lifetime Learning. Hugo Newman College Preparatory School is one of New York’s EE STW Schools, and David helped Margaret with the school selections in New York.

Geneviève and Kareen 2011-2012 U.S. Department of Education Teaching Ambassador Fellow have written a blog based on roundtables they have conducted with middle level educators over the last few months. The Forum held a convening on October 17, 2011 at the Capitol Visitors Center which addressed what federal, state and local policies can do to make high performing middle grades schools academically excellent, developmentally responsive, and socially equitable examples of schools where each student is prepared to succeed in high school and beyond.
