SCHOOLS TO WATCH State Program

An initiative of the

National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform

Developed in collaboration with the

Association of Middle Level Education (AMLE),

National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP),

National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP),

Learning Forward (formerly National Staff Development Council)

and 17 State Schools to Watch Programs

Schools to Watch is doing absolutely invaluable work in the middle grades. You are helping to lead the field in middle grade reform—and as a nation, we do far too little to celebrate success in education.
Anne Duncan, U.S. Secretary of Education

Invitation to Apply for the State Program

Each year the National Forum invites state middle-grades associations, state departments of education, post-secondary institutions, and other collaborating organizations to join us in expanding our STW program. Through this program, we seek to provide state and local leaders in selected states with a unique professional learning opportunity, while at the same time identifying and honoring middle-grades schools that are on a solid trajectory toward reform.  Request for Application form is now available.

For application email Ericka Uskali at erickauskali@middlegradesforum.org or call (217)469-6299 if you are a state that is interested.
